When I exit FF the browser vanishes like normal but remains active in the background for several seconds. It's not often that I want to open FF immediately after I close it, but it's happened enough for me to notice this hang.
It's done this with 3.0.5 and 3.0.6. Anyone encounter this?
I'm using Windows 7 (7600 Build) and Firefox occasionally hangs for me too, and I have to use the task manager to close it again.
I upgraded from Vista and am wondering whether a complete re-install of Firefox would be advisable? I'm using the latest version of Firefox 3.5.5
I have noticed this on both Vista and Windows 7. It's annoying. You shut Firefox down and then when you try to restart it a few minutes later, you get an error message saying it is already running. A check of task manager shows it is eating up 50% of CPU cycles.
I upgraded to Firefox 3.5.4 a few days ago and don't think I have noticed it since, but that may be a coincidence?
