    Yahoo Email Notifier

I've been using this program since Yahoo Messenger discontinued notification (without any notice)

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...mail-notifier/

Every time I shutdown and reboot, it no longer works and I have to download it again.

Very annoying - have no idea why, but if anyone has a better program, I'd appreciate a link.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    What do you mean?

Are you saying you don't know about Fastest Notifier or is that the name?

Just Googled it, but says not compatible with my version of Firefox, which is the latest.

    PopPeeper email notifier

If you don't mind installing a program rather than a firefox add on try:

    POP Peeper - Email Notification

Leave it running and specify the message check interval and notification options.

    Thanks Callender,

I installed it but am having some problems with it -Is it supposed to give a pop-up when a message is received?

I don't want to keep opening the program to see if I have a new message.

Disregard above - just set it to give a pop-up.

I just tried to send an email to myself, and it says "error"

Might have to do with settings - not sure.

Now Yahoo email seems to be offline - I'll try later.

Yahoo is back and I sent an email to myself, the program did not notify me even though I set it to give an alert.

This is the strangest thing - I uninstalled the program because it screwed up my email sending ability.

Now, it informs me of new messages!!

I used Revo advanced and thought it got everything.

It looks like I'm stuck with Yahoo email Notifier and will have to constantly download it after reboot.

Any other suggestions for a notifier are welcome.

    Thanks to all who tried.
