help - can't import email from gmail to yahoo?

I just created a new gmail account, and imported all my old email from my yahoo email account to my new gmail account. All my messages imported okay into gmail, but for some random reason, a bunch of the emails disappeared from yahoo, although most remained. I have no idea why they disappeared, but I didn't want them to get deleted from yahoo. I just wanted them imported into gmail while keeping them on yahoo too.

So now I'm trying to figure out how to export the missing emails from gmail back to yahoo again. I have no idea how to do this and I've been trying to find out how on Google for over an hour now. There seems to be no straight forward way to do this. I find this hard to believe. It took just a couple minutes to go from yahoo to gmail, so shouldn't there be a way to get them from gmail back to yahoo again? I just want to import what's currently in my gmail inbox to my yahoo mail.

Don't ask why - for now i just want to keep a copy of these emails on both yahoo and gmail. There's got to be a way to do this. can anybody help?

hi one way would be just to forward the emails to the yahoo account. could be time consuming.

Right - that would be time consuming, and then wouldn't the emails have today's date after forwarding? I want the emails to remain with their original dates only, like it was before they were deleted.

yes probably would have todays date.

I can't believe there's no way to import from gmail to yahoo. Really? So if I made a new yahoo mail account today, I couldn't import my mail from gmail into my new yahoo account?

What are they thinking?

i do not have a yahoo account so i will try setting one up and see if i can import contacts

From what I've read it looks like they had something called trueswitch that did just what I want to do, but they no longer offer that service. You've got to be kidding!

Thanks very much for checking into it. I can't believe there wouldn't be a way to do this for new users.

this is what i found so you can forwarw them all at one time. i created an account but did not see an import meesage or contact option still checking it.

i am at work and have unsupported internet browser so only seeing basic mail.

EDIT: i changed browser so their is a way to import gmail contacts to yahoo.
