Png inline image not received from an apple computer

Png inline image not showing up correctly from an apple computer. I received the email itself fine. It is the png image that I don't. It does work through outlook.com. I am using IMAP settings to access outlook.com. I tried all the know settings. I am using thunderbird email client.

That's interesting, I have never gotten images from this forum in my E-Mail notifications of new replies. No problem seeing them when I open the page.

It has nothing to do with this forum.

I have a friend who has an apple computer. She uses Apple email to send me an email. The email she sent has png image inline. Apple email to live.com to our Mozilla Thunderbird email client. We receive the image fine if I log into live.com (also called outlook.com) without any issue. I also am able to receive flash email through Thunderbird. The problem is the Thunderbird email client not receiving the inline png image. I use imap setting to access live.com through Thunderbird email client.

The additional information you provided did prove to be important. My question would be if .jpg or .bmp images are being received correctly?

I am not sure. I haven't tested that. I do remember reading that Thunderbird email clients have trouble receiving some png file that comes from apple computers but it is complicated to fix. I wouldn't know how to associate a png file correctly in the mimeTypes.rdf file.

However, with what happened recently, I am thinking the png file image may be too big for the client. When I have some extra time, I will do some testings.

Somewhat solved. The png file was too big for the email client. I was able to receive a small png file without any issue.
