    Adobe Flash workaround for chrome

Edited see post #5 for an update.

    Adobe - Flash Player

Is there a way to force Google Chrome to use NPAPI plugin--Yes, here is temporary work around:

add this to your Google chrome shortcut

    --disable-bundled-ppapi-flash

Flash will not be sand boxed.

I don't use Chrome, but I believe the flash update will come from a Chrome update.
Have you checked for a new version of Chrome ?

    fyi
Flash is built into Win 8.1 IE, so flash updates for IE come in through Windows Updates (for IE).

Yes, I know how to do that. Google Chrome must be slow in doing another update. I modified my previous post to let people know that Google chrome can use NPAPI until Google decides to release another update version but my method disabled the sandbox for Google Chrome which could be a security risk but it is the same risk as using flash in Internet explorer or Firefox from my understanding.

    OK.
Nice you posted the workaround as that may help others that want the latest flash version.

Wow, now that is fast. No need to worry about my work around. Google Chrome just updated flash to 16.0.0.296

Must have some Google and/or Adobe employee reading this.

Thank you for updating Google Chrome flash whoever you are.
