i need help deleting specific map history with google maps

Hi every one. I am trying to delete a map search and one entry will not go no matter what i do . Please see screen shot. It persistently remains no matter how much i clear or or how i clear.

It is for crown plaza. How can i delete this remaining entry?

I have deleted it from history, map history, X'ed it out and it still remains. Gone into my google account and deleted all map history forever and it still remains.

This is another ongoing problem with a google product that seems to take forever to resolve. I've read through this entire thread from Jan.'13: https://productforums.google.com/for...ps/uQ9S99kZx9w and this one post from it looks to do what you want: https://productforums.google.com/d/m...w/3NotoyAURngJ
There is also this post in another thread: https://productforums.google.com/for...g/9tHhjECg3-YJ

I use google, but I don't have your problem, I believe because, I have all my history turned off so I couldn't replicate some of the steps because I don't have any history. If you read through the thread from my first link and have an android type phone you might be able to remove crown from the map app there, but others including the last poster there, Nima Tohid said it took almost a day for his/her? entries to vanish.
I am of the firm belief that you can never be sure if google has really removed deleted items you've deleted locally. google is so big and has all their accumulated user data stored and spread out across a plethora of servers across the world, that no one, not even they know what's where.

Do you use gmail? I found out awhile back that when you delete emails locally it may take up to a half year before they're removed from their main then backup servers, maybe never. How long does Google keep your e-mail after you delete it? - Quora
The 30day limit before google automatically empties your spam or trash folders? Ha! I've tested that limit and have left emails in those two for over 6months, They were never removed until I wacked them.

This post by a google community manager should work, but it may take some time before you see results: https://productforums.google.com/d/m...w/pBnHjhY2NkAJ

Actually the problem first appeared on my company iPhone, but i have whittled it down to the fact that Google still shows these items on my home PC. I figured if i could remove then there, then the phone would not show them.

I may not be able to remove the item, but i can remove everything else.....

It could be a persistent cookie, try clearing the cache and cookies from all the browser(s) on your iphone and home PC.

    Great, that's good news!

In all the threads that I've checked, no one is sure why they have to wait. you just need to go through the motions with google and eventually they will catch up with what you want to do.

I think of them like Jabba the Hut, the bigger they are, the slower they move........
