Just a quick note to say that my favicons work too. I'm not sure when the problem got fixed but I believe one of the recent FF updates did the trick. Can't say for sure .though

Greetings Callender. Great to hear this. Interesting though, the possibility that it could have been a problem with Firefox. If you use any other browser, did you not try doing this with that, during the 'problem' period? I only use Firefox, because I am a little paranoid about privacy issues.

    Regards,

I use other browsers and there were no problems with those.

Hi Melita welcome back, I hope you had a wonderful vacation!

It is good news that your problem has corrected itself, in times like this I always chalk it up to the "mysteries of computing", and don't ask too many questions.

Yes, how right you are. In my limited computer experience, I have come across many such 'mysteries' that have never been explained.

Thank you for being exceptionally helpful, spending so much of your time in this long thread.

    Best regards,

Thank you for stepping in and helping to get my beautiful Desktop back. It looked really dull and drab with a mass of those postcard type icons!

    Kind regards,
