Exporting contacts to Tablet

I have been given a Tablet and would really like to import all my contacts from Windows Live Mail and my web addresses in IE but can't seem to do this. I've exported to my desktop to see if that's the answer but it isn't! Any help that can be given will be appreciated.
Thank you
Iris

Hi - Lenovo A8-50 has "Android 4.2 Jelly Bean" OS, you might be best looking on Android forums. I have had a quick google but could not find an answer.
