IE will not load since the last batch of windows updates

    Sorry I didn't say so. I have reset IE several times now, removed the add ons etc. but it is still crashing. I think that part of windows update didn't load correctly, and corrupted parts. I am also having other issues with COM Surrogate, HPSFUpdater, and other programs stopping. The COM after a few tries will usually (but not always) start working. I am beginning to think I am going to have to do a restore on the stupid thing.. Or shoot it.

    Which is why five of those that I support switched to Apple/Macs.

After installing today 12 updates, Windows 7 x64 does not boot. It shows the screen "Starting Windows" for about 2 minutes, then reboots. Safe mode does not help.
