Hi,
Use Clean boot,
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/179159-troubleshoot-application-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html
Click Start and type in the search box,
msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,

Also see what this does,
Use No Add-ons mode/ Click the Start button and type in the search box,
Internet explorer
IE will not load since the last batch of windows updates-start-no-add-ons-7.jpg
Click on the suggestion (No Add-ons) or it’s located at,
Start/ All programs/ Accessories folder/ System tools folder/ No add-ons.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/manage-add-ons#ie=ie-10-win-7
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/How-to-manage-add-ons-in-Internet-Explorer-9
If using ie10 the first link will apply to ie9 as well,
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/ie-crashes-stops-working#ie=ie-10-win-7

Activate EPM if on a 64 bit version of windows,
Internet Explorer 10 - Enable 32-bit or 64-bit IE10 in Windows 7
Add the Run box to the Start menu list,
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/559-start-menu-add-run-button.html
Open the Run command and Paste this into it and Okay,
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff

I think that I managed to follow all the directions, but it still won't work. The odd thing about it is I can go to my favorites and click on one of them and get online. That is as far as it will go though. If I try to do anything on that website I will get the error message.

You have IE11. Some of the links that ThrashZone provided were for IE9 or IE10. However, this "IE-crashes" link (that ThrashZone provided): What to do when Internet Explorer isn't working - Windows Help takes you to a website where the content can be changed in the upper right corner to show you the steps for IE11. Near the very bottom of that "IE-crashes" website, it suggested two things that I would like to make sure you tried:

1) Reset IE:
If you have not already done that, I would suggest doing a complete reset IE11. You might find the steps in this forum's tutorial easier to follow (or not :-). Start with step 3: Internet Explorer - Reset Be sure to do step 5 for a complete reset.

2) Uninstall/re-install IE:
Warning: Given the state or your IE, if you revert to an earlier version of IE (uninstall IE), you might not be able to re-install IE11. But we can deal with that if it happens. At the very bottom of that "IE-crashes" website, it suggests uninstalling IE11 and re-installing it. It links you to this website: Install or uninstall Internet Explorer - Windows Help Near the bottom of that website, there are instructions to uninstall IE11. If you prefer a video, see my post here: Internet Explorer 9 - Uninstall The title of the thread speaks of IE9, both the post deals with IE9, IE10 and IE11.

Hi,
Please post the startup and services sections screen shots,
Not sure why KB3049563 would cause an issue it could be linked to AVG ?
I'm not having any issues with it personally,

I would suggest rolling back to ie10 like Usernameissue's suggested = Nice to see you around mate

To access Manage add-ons when you can't start ie Start/ Control panel/ Internet options/ Programs section/ Manage add-ons button,

You should be directed to the Show all choice on the bottom left column just go to Toolbars and extensions and disable all
Take a screen shot of the list if you can

I just spent twenty minutes trying to uninstall IE11, and it refuses to go away. I keep getting an error message saying that all the updates had not been uninstalled, and IE11 is still on the list.
I tried to do a screen shot the other day and couldn't get it done. Don't know if it is the computer or me.

How to gradually pre-load Windows Updates in an install iso
I often fix other people's computers, and the most time-consuming, laborious and really effing annoying part of the process is waiting for Windows to do the updates, then rebooting, then waiting for it to do the updates it failed to do the first time around, then rebooting, et cetera. I'd much...
