How do I change old email screen?

I changed my provider from roadrunner to Gmail but when I am checking a website then click to send an email I automatically get a screen with the Windows Live Mail roadrunner email form and my old roadrunner address as “from” instead of getting my Gmail email screen. How do I change this so I will automatically get the new Gmail screen instead of the old roadrunner Windows Live Mail screen?

You might need to tell your browser where to send (what program to use for) the e-mail request, and/or you might also have to look for
"Set Program Access and Defaults" either in your Windows Start Menu or at your Control Panel. Another option is to install Thunderbird as your e-mail handler and tell it to serve as default for all e-mail.

You were using Windows Live Mail with a Roadrunner account.

Do you want to use Windows Live Mail with the new Gmail account ?
Or, do you now want to use Gmail from your Browser, and no longer use Windows Live Mail ?

Here is an article that might help.
If you post your browser, someone with the same setup as yours might be able to give hands on advice.
