    I have no idea...
I got this Compaq desktop computer November 1, 2012 and started using it with I.E. and AOL. Shortly after that my son talked me into switching to Google so I did.

Thanks for the reply. Let me use Yahoo as an example....
I can't log onto my Yahoo mail. All I get is a blank page.
See if this appears on the right end of the url address bar,
    Attachment 364593
If so click on Gear symbol on the top right and point or click on Safety and see if anything has a checkmark next to it like Active x filtering...

To see what version Gear symbol on the top right and click on About ie.

OK, I don't have that blue circle with the line through it, but I do have that gear icon in the top right. I clicked on the gear, then safety, and nothing is checked.

I also clicked on "About Internet Explorer" and it says I am using Internet Explorer 11.

Try Internet Explorer - Reset even though you haven't used it before

    Do other pages work?

    Thanks for the update,
On the same list as the other menus click on Manage add-ons,
On the left column where it says Show,
Click on it and switch to show all add-ons,
Post a screen shot of the list
Use the link above my signature if you need help taking and uploading screen shots here
    Cheers.

    You can also close ie,
Right click the ie icon on the taskbar and click on Start In-Private browsing and test with Yahoo sign in.

GokAy, I don't see any reset button.

Thrashzone, what other menus? All I have is a list of favorites I had back in 2012 and there is no "Manage Add Ons" button.

I would say, try in Safe Mode with Networking and then try with a new user account - User Account - Create

GokAy, I am the only one in my family who uses this desktop, so I assume I'm the administrator.

ThrashZone, OK sorry. I found it. It was listed right there in front of me. I will now try what you said.
