website links give me a blank tab?

I'm using win7 Pro, 64 bit, Internet Explorer 11, (Google)withDslextreme. Been fighting this problem for months.I can click on any result of a search and getto a site with no problem. But if I check on a website link. It looks as if it tries, but I get a blueblank tab with the Explorer symbol.Ihave tried resetting Explorer, ran several malware programs. Even tried Yahoo,Firefox engines and nothing helps. If I "copy shortcut" and"paste" it in the address bar, it works. I'm about ready to justreinstall Win 7.Please explain how tofix this! I see others are having this problem to.
    thanks

    Please explain this...

    Antivirus
    AWG Mircosoft security essentials

    ...from your system specs.

Is one of those an on-demand antivirus?

Open Command Line and run the following line regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll" with it.
    The problem should get fixed

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
That is an interesting entry AWG ?
Well the blue color just signifies you use tab grouping no big deal there
Blank page well that could be as easy as full reset,
    Internet Explorer - Reset

If no joy from reset use Clean boot,
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
Click Start and type in the search box,
    msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
    Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,
    Cheers.

Not sure I understand, this something I have never done. is 'Command Line' the same as 'Command Prompt'? I know how to use Command Prompt.

    thanks for the quick reply.

You are correct, I'll pay more attention to my one finger typing. and the download removed it. hope that helps with some of my problems. But I had to cut and paste the link, clicking it just got the blank tab.

    Hi,
Thanks you can try to create a new administrator user account to test with after properly removing avg :)
Make your existing account a standard account after creating a new admin account.

Yes,Command Line and Command Prompt are the same things.Hmm,they're a bit fifferent but they do the same type job. Command Line is 16bit version of Command Prompt. They have the same purposes, but Command Line works only on 16bit systems. Try this and let me know if the problems gets fixed:)
