Internet Explorer 10 did not finish installing

Hi,

I was having issues with IE 10 crashing and not opening webpages, so I tried doing a few things.

1. I went into View Installed Updates and uninstalled the update for IE10
2. I went to Programs & Features, Turn Windows Features On & Off and unchecked the box for IE8
3. Ran the following commands.....

Click on Start button and ten type CMD and then clickRun as administrator , when CMD will open then run these four linesone by one.
net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv
then restart the computer

Now I am receiving the following error when trying to install IE 10..."Internet Explorer 10 did not finish installing".

Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi,
ie8 must be checked
I'm sure you also saw ie9 as a update as well after checking,
It's best to update them as released not skipping versions.
