WLM - Calendar Reminder not working

Until recently the reminder system for my calendar has been working perfectly where I fill in the event details and set the reminder to the necessary alert time.

However, I am not receiving any email reminders now and I'm not sure what's gone wrong.

It all came to light when I forgot my dental appointment the other day.

Hello and welcome Rachel nice to see some systems specs filled in for a change and sorry for the wait.

Now two simple things you could try are these

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html< if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

if no go then give these a run the ADW leave to very last

    http://www.superantispyware.com/

https://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/sem/5/?gclid=CJTmq6iGpscCFYqCvQodbfMN1A(free version and untick the trial option when it comes up

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

ADW download from bleeping computerdelete any rubbish found with the malware scans

(Anyone running Kasperskyinternet security will find it rants about ADW - ignore it or disable Kasperskywhile running ADW)

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I've run a scan and there was a problem and it said it couldn't repair it (see .jpg file). I'm also attaching the .txt file and perhaps you can make something of this for me because my computer knowledge is very very limited.
    Thank you.

Rachael could you run the chkdsk with the /f switch please .
Now the sfc I cannot make much out of except it does mention Processorarchitecture and a few searches have mentioned repairing files and hardware based stuff.

Now the chkdsk will check the drive for bad sectors etc and attempt to repair any errors on it rather than the sfc just checking the OS filing system.

The option after that is run those anti malware scanners too.

Here's a short version of my method.
My mail in WLM is xxx@gmail.com, my Microsoft Live ID is xxx@gmail.com, it has a different password from my gmail account.
I use WLM to read & send mail. I log in to MS Calendar with my MS Live ID to set reminders so as to get them as reminders by mail. This was only done recently. I previously used Hotmail as my MS Live ID and added my contacts during he process.

Thank you both again for continuing with this.
ICIT2LOL: I have run the chkdsk with the /f switch successfully which showed no problems. I then ran the two scans from your links and attach the results. There was nothing on malware bytes but the other one showed 910 instances of maybe slight problems. Could you advise whether if I delete the problems that have been highlighted, would it have any affect on the running of the computer or is it the standard thing to do. I have never used this software before so I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
Roderunner: I'm signed in to the WLM account using the password allocated to it. I signed out then signed in again (to see if that made any difference) and made a test appointment with a reminder. It made no difference - it still didn't work!

    Hi George
Your first screenshot is exactly how we use the new event/reminder method (and I've also used the method as in your second screenshot).
When we try to set up a new email reminder we get the error message 'We can't find that page' as in our attachment Capture4. The following address is what we get in the addressbar.
    https://bay02.calendar.live.com/cale...edirector.aspx
whereas it should be https://bay02.calendar.live.com/calendar/calendar.aspx (without the error 404) so do you think this is where the problem lies.
When we click on 'Go to Calendar' in the error message, the calendar actually opens up correctly and I can add new events, but still with no email reminders sent.
