OK, I think it's time for Firefox followers, users and fans to get a lil' collection of tweaks, just in case you want to try e10s, as well as fixing bugs still present in multimedia playing. If you are interested, here you are:

    Enable e10s (Electrolisys) in Firefox
This will enable e10s in your Firefox, please take in mind that any backup of your prefs.js is MOST welcome, before trying any of this. values in () are the supposed values to enable the feature. Also, ensure that Off Main Thread Composition and hardware acceleration are enabled in Firefox. For OMTC, see in about:support, in "Accelerated Windows GPU" section, it should have OMTC + any value greater than 0. For Hardware acceleration, check in the advanced section, in options, there should be a checkmark in "Enable hardware acceleration when available".
    Code:
    browser.tabs.remote.autostart (true)
    browser.tabs.remote.force-enable (true)
    layers.async-pan-zoom.enabled (true)
    layers.offmainthreadcomposition.testing.enabled (true)

    Enable hardware accelerated video decoding

If you happen to have a GPU that is DXVA capable, but Firefox thinks you are not, upgrade drivers and set this so any video with H264 (MP4) is hardware accelerated (speed boost). Allow d3d11 feature will speed boost video decode since it will use latest DX11 runtimes instead of D3d9...
    Code:
    media.hardware-video-decoding.failed (false)
    media.windows-media-foundation.allow-d3d11-dxva (true)
If any of those settings arent available in about:config, you can create them by yourself in the same place, just remember, all these are boolean type. Also, the force-enable variable for tabs.remote is only if Firefox refuses to enable e10s (check in about:support, multiprocess windows must have values greater than 0, otherwise, it's not enabled). That can be caused by some extensions (uBlock, for example), if e10s refuses to work, set a new boolean (in case it's not already there) with browser.tabs.remote.force-enable with value of "true".

Again, do a backup of prefs.js on your profile folder before atempting this. Also, keep your GPU drivers up-to-date, this will significantly improve performance, as well as enable more features with less effort. GPU's from 2012 and above might work almost automatically.
