Microsoft Fix It Results are baffling with dozens of toolbars in resul

Howdy,

I am running Windows 7 and IE11 on a 32 bit.

I recently reformatted and am having issues with IE 11 freezing when I try to open websites.

First, I click on IE11 and occasionally when I click on a website, the computer returns back to the desktop and a little circle starts to spin. After awhile, the computer automatically returns to the website that I attempted to open.

But now it just gets crazy. I ran Microsoft Fix It and dozens of toolbars and add ons came up in the results.

I can't find any of them in Programs or Features or when I search from the start menu. What gives?

I attached the Fix It results.

Hi,
That is just a laundry list of browser add-ons included in the fixit it does not mean you have any or all of them installed

Hi,
If you would like an evaluation of what add-ons you have
Just post a screen shot or 2 of what is installed,
When ie11 is open use Gear symbol and Manage add-ons,
Toolbars and extensions on the top left,
On the bottom left switch to Show All add-ons.

Hi,
Well WebRoot and Oracle's Java is always fun to see
I would at the least disable them and retry,

You can also try In-Private browsing to see what happens
If ie11 is pinned to your Taskbar right click it and click on Start In-Private browsing.

I have had Webroot Pro for years now and have always been pleased with it. I disable the toolbar and a few other things.

Java comes and goes. I'll read an article on how exploitable it is and uninstall it. Then a few months pass and somehow I go to Oracle and get it again. Rinse and repeat.

I have had Malwarebytes Pro for the same length of time as Webroot. I like it too. I might consider another Anti Virus after my current Webroot term ends. In 869 days.

I'll use In Private Browsing more. Also thinking of installing Windows 10 soon.

Thanks again!

Hi,
Just to give you an idea In-Pivate browsing will disable all browser add-ons by default but there is an option in internet options to not do that if a user unchecks it,
Other ways to use no add-ons mode to trouble shoot possible bad browser add-ons can be seen here,
Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons) - Open

So if surfing is better when using any of the suggestions it would be best to remove the add-on and not re-download it
