Ask Toolbar Removal Error Code 1316

I noticed that the Ask Toolbar is listed as one of my installed programs. Since I don't use it and it is disabled in my Internet Explorer browser, I tried to uninstall it and received the error code 1316. I screen capture of the error code dialog is attached.

In my online search for a solution, I've seen references to problems with C:\Windows\Installer\Ask Toolbar.msi. This path and this file are not on my hard drive and I found no solution that dealt with this scenario.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Run the fix-it and then see if if you can uninstall it.

    If the above doesn't work.
I believe these programs will still remove the Ask junk.
