Windows 7: Int.Explorer 8 hanging, and Live Messenger fails to ope

Int.Explorer 8 hanging, and Live Messenger fails to ope
Since upgrading from Vista Home to Windows 7 Home, I get frequent, though not critical, hagings on IE8, and Live messenger fails to start on opening .
Anyone else have same issues?
