    Email related

    Hi

I have a question relating to email.

    I use hotmail.

Im thinking of making another email but using that email strictly for work related.

I find it tricky to explain but here we go.

The problem is, any emails that are work/study related that are incoming to my current email address, is it possible somehow without me having to write emails to each person that it can automatically be forwarded to my new email address or if it can let anyone know who has emailed my current address to let them know to email the newer hotmail address i choose to create.

I hope you understand what i mean.

    Thanks

Hotmail's still web based, correct? I think there is an option buried in the settings that will forward emails from the "parent" account to another account. Now, whether you can have X go to A, Y go to B, Z go to C -- I don't know how one can do that.

Hotmail accounts can be accessed from the Outlook.com web page using a browser, and can can also be accessed using Client Email programs such as Thunderbird, WLM, MS Office Outlook, etc.

The OP hasn't told us how Hotmail is used/accessed, i think that info is needed.

If you login via your browser check your account settings. Set up email forwarding to your new email address:

Then set up "Holiday replies" and type a message that states that you should be contacted on your new email address and to remove the old one from the sender's address book.

Choose to send auto replies to "All Senders" or "Just your contacts"
