IE 8 startup blank page very slow

I just update to Windows 7, and when I open IE8 for browsing, the process of starting up is very slow ( about 1-2min ) for open the blank page start-up. It show In the tab Connecting..... and I really wonder what it is connecting to, because the start up page is BLANK. May I know did anyone got problem the same as me or not?

    Hello Sophal,

    Welcome to 7 Forums.

Try starting IE without any addons. Start/all programs/accessories/system tools.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Gary,
If I open it without any add-on it is fast, but if without any add-on then how can I use with my web base application, which need some add-on to run ?

    Thanks,
    SOPHAL.

I found that if I disable Java Run time add-on then it can be start up faster. But my application really need this add-on to run. For my old windows using IE7, it is working well with Java add-on. Any suggestion about this problem?

From your post it seems that you did an upgrade, if so I suggest try again with a clean install. At the very least you can try an repair install.

Try check disc. When you make your choice, check both boxes. It will take long, but a new OS, can do a number on your hard drive. right click C:/ drive then properties then tools then check disc.

Hi Guys, I know this is a dumb question; but how do I start a new thread?
I've looked around the place but am unable to decipher the method.
