    hey,

    Server: 'pop3.ntlworld.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure(SSL): Yes
    Socket Error: 10060

would be really grateful for your help!

Think you need to read the instructions again on setting up mail, depending on whether you are using a blueyonder.com or a ntworld.com email address, and this link may help: Setting up Outlook Express 6 - Email - Help - Virgin Media

    Good luck.

Most email, web sites have specific instructions to set up POP, you may want to take a look. Sometimes they make you use different port numbers, others will not let you send using their address, if you are using POP, in that case you must send through your ISP email.

In your account, under the servers tab. Do you have the right box checked? There are 3 choices text authentication, pop and password, I think it is. In any event, you will find it in the servers tab.

You cant receive. Let us know what you entered for: incoming on the servers tab (do not include your email just say xxx@xxxx.com, if that is what you put. Give us all the entries under the advanced tab. I will compare with my email and we will talk about the differneces.

Hey there are many here with much more knowledge than me, but none more stubbron; we will get this done.

    okaay :)

    outgoing mail server: smtp.ntlworld.com

    on the advanced tab:
    outgoing mail: 25
    incoming mail: 995
both "this server requires a secure connection (SSL)" are ticked for incoming and outgoing

    thanks!
