Firefox start page reloading 3 times?

I dont know if this is normal or not but my win 7 64bit home premium with Firefox 40 version browser, reloads 2 times when I click on it to go to the start page. It goes straight to the start page and reloads another two times? Is that alright because I dont remember it doing that before! I just found out that I cant edit the title?

Mhhhh... are you talking about the default start page Firefox uses or a custom one you have choosen before? Does that happen when you click on the homepage button or straight when opening the browser? Does that happen with other websites? Are you still using beta channel for Firefox? (Either way, for this last, your version is pretty old, FF stable is currently on v45, and beta on v46)
Do you have any extensions installed on the browser?

While you answer this questions, you can type about:support on the adress bar, in that page, copy the data to clipboard and paste the data here, along with your answers, with more data we might be able to help you

My Firefox is set to update automatically. When you mentioned extensions I went there and disabled some that I dont know where they came from? Now its good! Its was only when I opened Firefox on the default start page. It only reloads once now but its very quick so I hardly notice and is no problem at all. Thanks for helping me out with this annoying little glitch I appreciate it.

Just to know, which extensions you disabled, and what channel are you using in this Firefox, beta or stable? (check about:support page for this information on the "Release Channel field)

I see... probably those addons aren't too compatible with some new standards Firefox is adding with new releases.
Latest Firefox by now it's 45.0.1, so maybe you will update in a couple of days depending of Mozilla's schedule. Anyhow, if by any chance it doesnt update automatically, you can always download your preffered version from here.

    Glad you sorted this out.

    Cheers
