Update one site password in IE11 ... yes you can!

I'm confused ... have battled my way around the Tutorial section but have either missed or failed to find the answer to my issue due mostly to being rather techy dim.

I recently had to change a password to one particular site and would like to be able to add/change this update to my saved passwords rather than be reminded the existing password no longer works in IE 11.

Can some kind person help me do this please?

Because of a currently running playback in Chrome, I don't have IE open right now, can't see the settings. Did you, in Internet Options, set IE to save passwords?

    Hello MadMudMob, :)

If IE11 doesn't prompt you to save the new password, then you can remove the old one for that site first using step 4 in OPTION ONE below.

Internet Explorer 11 Stored Passwords - View and Remove

Afterwards, be sure to turn on store passwords for website in IE11. It should ask if you want to save the password next time.

Internet Explorer 11 Store your Passwords - Turn On or Off

Yes, IE is set to save passwords in Internet Options .. I can see the option to remove all the saved passwords but, to be honest, that would be a pain just to update one?

Ah, in Windows 7 there is no Web Credentials in Credential Manager?

Sorry MadMudMob. I forgot Windows 7 doesn't have that option. It looks like you may need to do OPTION TWO to delete all passwords to clear it.

Yay I found out how to do it ....
Go to the login page and type the first letter of the username into the name field.
In the drop-down list, select the name by putting the pointer on it.
Hit the Delete key and answer "yes" to the dialogue.

Toward the bottom of this thread ...
