New add On bar after update

Firefox updated this morning to v46 and restarted. Afterwards I had another toolbar at the bottom of the page I did not have before and also that I cannot remember ever installing. It hasa close icon on the left and a menu icon next to it, but they are not functioning, i.e. I cannot close the bar or open up a menu. on the right it has a bin which has a speech bubble saying "clear all".
Does anyone know where this bar has come from and how to get rid of it?

Thats the addon bar. You must have installed an addon that uses it at some point.

You can probably close it from the "Menu Bar"

If you don't see the Menu Bar - right click on a blank area at the top of the screen and enable the Menu Bar checkbox.

As for which add on you've got there - I don't know. However if you type:

    about:support

into the address bar you should be able to see a list of all installed addons (scroll down on the screen that opens)

You could aslo select "Copy to clipboard" and paste the results here for others to inspect.

    From Menu Bar it's:

    View> Toolbars> Addon Bar
