I was able to install TB now like when first done. But I can't get the address from outlook or wlm to show proper in TB. I only get heads showing and maybe 2 contacts... I used a export csv file from wlm imported into TB

    Suggest trying this method:

Export contact data from Thunderbird to a CSV format file. (In the Thunderbird Address Book use menu path Tools->Export->choose Save as type=CSV)

Open that csv file in a speadsheet program and compare it to your exported WLM contacts csv file.

If the columns in both spreadsheets do not match exactly then rearrange WLM contacts spreadsheet to match exported TB contacts spreadsheet then re-import.

Yep Callender that is what I was on about only I think I had to use the csv with a comma in front of it ie ,csv when adding the addresses to the folder on my desktop I copied the list to. It was just a matter of importing from that desktop folder into TB.

The accounts and layout I think I outlined in post #12 :) and it was the YouTube that I posted that finally got the hang of addresses. Now my only disappointment with that was that the names carried over but only a few had the actual address. So I am just doing what I suggested before and that is to highlight he sender at the top of the message screen and add it to the address list.

Well I've been busy... my vss files got corrupted somehow removing WLM and Emclient etc. and Reflect Standard wouldn't work... Then I had disk errors, etc ..I had previous images I was able to use them and got back on track and finally loaded Mozilla ok. My address book is imported from Outlook ok so far. I may have to tweak it like suggested above with spreadsheet comparison.
I'm happy with everything and I'm doing a Refect Image as I type.

That's good mate I have kept WLM in the side lines only as a back up as TB I am now finding back on my main laptop is changing servers settings for some reason - but still a minor hiccup eh?
