    Windows Live Mail 2009 - change coming end of June


    Windows live mail 2012 will no longer synchronize e-mails effective the end of June. From what I understand it will not affect Outlook, 2010, 2013 or 2016. Does anyone know whether it will affect version 2009. If it does I will have to connect using a web browser or buy a subscription to Office 365 which I do not want to do.

    I have experimented using a web browser, but have not had any luck being able to connect. I can still click on the envelope icon for Windows, but after the end of June it will not work unless 2009 is exempt.

    First let me state that I don't use Outlook (email client) at home. I do use Outlook (email client) with Office 365 at work.

    These changes only affect hotmail (outlook.com) email accounts when accessed via Windows Live Mail (email client/ desktop application)

I have windows live mail 2010 and wanted to upgrade to windows live mail 2011 but i dont want to have to install windows live messenger 2011 and would like to keep windows live messenger 2009.. Is there a way i can have windows live mail 2011 along with windows live messenger 2009 (14.0.8117) ?
