Advertisement Powered by Provider removal needed

I had a problem over the weekend including ransomware that I have managed to clear up. However I have been left with these windows that pop up whenever I'm in Facebook or eBay for example that say 'Advertisement. Powered by Provider. I have ran Malwarebytes TDS Killer and Superantispyware and although they found and removed a lot of stuff these pop-up's still remain. Just by running a Google search I have found lots of free programs that are supposed to remove these annoying pop-up's but I'm long enough in the tooth to know that a lot of these things can actually cause more problems. Has anyone else had these 'Powered by Provider' windows popping up and if so can you help me by letting me know what you used to get rid of them. Many thanks.

I have no experience with that specific piece of adware, but I've found that ADWCleaner is truly amazing when it comes to browser infections.

Thanks I'll have a look at that. It was one of the programs I was looking at but it's hard to find honest sources for these things. I've been looking out for CD's on computer mags as sometimes you get all sorts of useful programs that at least have been verified as safe. Thanks again.

I recommend rebooting after using AdwCleaner.

GREAT! Thanks for the followup and letting us know all is well! The trick with ADW Cleaner is knowing the legitimate places to get it from, since there are fakes floating around. The site I linked you to is the actual developer's site, and bleepingcomputer that Layback Bear recommended, is always a great, safe, resource for any malware software needs!

Actually it's not solved at all. After I used ADWCleaner yesterday it stopped but having just started the computer up today it's back. So back to square one I'm afraid!
