Change behavior of new tab in chrome

Before formatting and reinstalling the computer I had chrome working PERFECT. Right click new tabs would open next to the current one and if I click the new tab button at the far right the new tab opened at the end of the current tabs.

I specifically remember there was a setting in Chrome itself to adjust the behavior because I never had an extension before and I REMEMBER changing the setting from within Chrome but I can't remember how or where the setting is. All I can find now is suggestions to use an extension called tabs plus. I tried it, it sucks and doesn't so what its supposed to or at least I cant get it working the way it did before.

Does anyone know where the setting in chrome is to change the behavior of new tabs without extensions? I tried the only one I remember "chrome:flags" and it not in there.

That is the way Chrome works by default. Have you tried resetting Chome to default in settings?

New behavior of Chrome icon
As of a few days, there is a distinct and confusing change in the way Chrome runs or, rather, the way it is presented in the taskbar. I have made a few illustrations that hopefully explain what my issue is: http://s10.postimg.org/j3zn763xl/image.jpg http://s30.postimg.org/xzwnzxt8h/image.jpg...

Chrome address bar behavior
I don't know why this started happening but it only started today I think. I used to be able to enter "g" into the address bar and it would suggest "gmail.com" to me because that is my most visited site that starts with a g. If I typed "go" it would change that suggestion to "google.com". Now it...

Change taskbar behavior
Hello, I need to allow full screen Windows applications overlapping task bar under Windows 7. The "auto hide" is not the option due to user requirements I don't want to describe here. One possible solution is to change the code of those applications to allow them overlapping task bar, but it...

Change file dropping behavior on taskbar?
Hi, I just found the registry tweak for opening the last used window/tab on the taskbar with a left click, http://www.sevenforums.com/customization/39290-changing-window-selection-behavior-taskbar.html. I was wondering if it is possible to open a file instead of pinning it when dropping that...
