YouTube Not Working Hi Guys
I do not know why, but my FireFox browser and Google Chrome both do not work when I want to watch YouTube Videos.
The Video will play for 5 seconds. Then will STOP and no matter how long I wait it will not load.
I have re-installed Flash Player, and still no go.
I have also disabled all plugins except for Flash and still no go.
What can I do to fix this problem. Please help.
Thank You. | My System Specs |

Check firewall, antivirus/antispyware program settings. Disable Windows Defender (in Services) ... just to see if that may be your problem | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Bruce ... somewhere in his 40's OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit SP1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2400 MHz Motherboard INTEL/D975XBX2 Memory 4 GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 914v Screen Resolution 1280 x 1024 Keyboard Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Microsoft PS/2 Mouse PSU Rocketfish 700 W Case G.Skill Gigabyte Chassis Hard Drives 2/500GB each ... hmm if it was a Security Software issue .. why would it allow 5 seconds of play ? It would have just blocked the whole thing !! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Made OS Windows 7 Ultimate CPU Intel Q6660 Motherboard Asus P5K-E Wifi App Memory 4GB Graphics Card EVGA nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX Sound Card OnBoard Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 206BW PSU Corsair 600W Case Antec 900 Cooling Air Hard Drives 250GB Maxtor (two)

Jaycee is one of our best. Give it a try and if it does not work, we will try to help, again.
I personally agree with Jaycee. As to why you get the 5 seconds, I do not know. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

An application may be hanging and stops the file from loading. Also, your computer is not getting the complete connection to the site or file you want to view. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Bruce ... somewhere in his 40's OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit SP1 CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2400 MHz Motherboard INTEL/D975XBX2 Memory 4 GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 914v Screen Resolution 1280 x 1024 Keyboard Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Microsoft PS/2 Mouse PSU Rocketfish 700 W Case G.Skill Gigabyte Chassis Hard Drives 2/500GB each ... works for me I have been scouring the internet for solutions to this same problem, and I have to say that this is so far the only thread on any forum in the entire online world that fixes this issues.
For me, I had to update my version of AVG free, since it apparently dislikes windows 7 flash videos.
While this is not my thread, I just want to take this opportunity to thank the people who posted. Bravo! | My System Specs

spoke too soon.... sorry about my last post, but it seems that youtube and windows 7 were just messing with me.
I downloaded the new version of AVG and I managed to get two videos to work. However, the same old problem is back: the browser (doesn't matter which one, I have tried IE, chrome, Firefox) crashes while the flash video tries to load. I'm really at a loss now. I did disable windows defender. still nothing. | My System Specs

AVG is causing problems for everyone, everywhere in relation to normal usage and even bsod.
Stay away from AVG at all costs.
