Constantly closing multiple iexplore.exe in task manage

Im constantly having to manually close iexplore.exe tasks in task manager, sometimes it will get up to 8 or 9 of these with NO windows open. It is not due to a virus or malware, as it has done this right out of the box on a clean install. Im using Win 7 Pro 64 bit. It happens with both the 32 and 64 bit of internet explorer. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

That does not really sound like a virus to me. Try removing IE and reinstalling. Remove IE by typing "features" in the start menu box and clicking on "Turn Windows features on or off". Be sure to download IE directly from Microsoft.

Did you use OEM discs for a clean install? Or plain old Windows 7 discs? It sounds like an IE add-on would be causing this.
