Problems sending email from WLM through Googlemail account

I’m trying to send an email from Windows Live Mail (Windows 7) using my Googlemail account. I can receive emails OK, I just can send any. I keep getting this error message:-

    http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/y...dump/Error.jpg

I’ve checked all the setting for accessing my Googlemail account through WLM and everything seems OK.

    Can any one help?

    Hi Jessica and welcome

That error code is simply saying the connection to the server has been refused. Usually it happens when your computer tries to connect throught he wrong port. SMTP (what gmail uses) should connect on port 45 unless they have advised you to use another. the problem and fix is described here 0x800cccoe - Email ERROR. From the screen shot I can see the connect attempting to use port 465. If gmail said to use it thats fine if not it needs to be changed

Let us know if you need help

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Is that the same error code I'm getting? The one I get is 0x800CCC0B. Odd thing is, I have other gmail accounts that I access through WLM. It's only the one account I'm having trouble with.
