nono, we have cable.. weve had this service for like 4 years. i bought the cable to run from our netgear (router) to my computer -head desk- make sense? xD it like randomly disconnected itself.

Edit: i feel like an idiot right now we have like 15 people viewing this thread!

Sounds like you're not get an IP from the modem... Are you using a Router?

EDIT: Sorry I see you have a router. If you open IE and go to the router, usually, do get to the router setup screen?
