    Hello toetapping,

    Welcome to 7 Forums.

What email program are you using? I believe that Live Mail can open these. Link here. https://www.sevenforums.com/software/...-versions.html

    Hope this helps.

I think he is using live mail from his previous posts. I don't have any experience with it, but maybe you could check out this solution to see if that helps.

Also, is that the shortest original post on this forum?

I love your sense of humour. Toetapping is a Senior Lady not a man but may be this thread will be the longest. Also I must say you have such quick responses to problems.

I do have Windows Live Mail. I went into the links you provided. I have googled and nothing seems to work.

What I have now is that any EML type attachment has an association with Windows Live Mail under default programs , they open the attachment but nothing is there. I have tried about 6 attachments so it is not as though there may have not been one there to start with.

Been awhile since I tried live mail, but if I remember correctly, I also had to tick 'Internet zone' in that same window in order to get attachments.

Dear Madam, eml-file is an email. Some web-based email systems, as well as some POP3 / IMAP mail clients use this a little bit confusing method when forwarding email.

Outlook Express used this when a sender had used a certain stationery (background with graphics) which your mail client could not show.

    You could try this:

    • Save the eml-attachments to a folder of your choice
    • Open Live Mail, click Inbox to open it
    • Open your eml-attachment folder
    • Put Live Mail and your folder window side by side so you can see both
    • Drag the eml-files from eml-folder to Live Mail Inbox

You should now see those attachments as normal emails in your Inbox.

Thank you for your answer but it does not work either.
