firefox is no longer saving my passwords

    firefox is no longer saving my passwords


    why is this happening?

    Check Tools -> Options -> Security.

    And check "Remember passwords for site"

    And click Exceptions -> Remove All.

    Make sure its not set to private browsing.

    all that is done, and im pretty sure its not on private browsing... the control + shift + p

    ive read something about a profile or something but i couldnt figure out how to do it.

    uninstall firefox. check the remove config box or w.e was that called


    reinstall and it should be fixed... use stable versions not the beta ones if I were you... also try ccleaner or tuneup to clean registry some app leftovers :P

    alright i did that im going to check again tonight since i had to leave for work, cause i couldnt tell of the bat because i was logging into sites, and if i kept going back to the same sites you know how it stays logged in for a certain amount of time.

    Happened to me as well. Turns out that I had adjusted some of the options on the Privacy tab in a manner that effectively enabled privacy mode.

    Are you using FFox 3.5 or later? If so, check your privacy settings.

    Just got home and looked. I had it set to "Never Remember History". You might want to give that a look.

    the re installing did the trick with deleting all the files then running ccleaner
