    Browser problem?

The problem I’ve been getting is that all browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) stops loading pages after using it for sometime/clicking through a number of pages. There’s no error message, just a blank page with “Done” on the status bar. I could still ping those pages. My internet connection looks fine. All clients that require internet access (ie, online game, msn, yahoo messenger, skype…) work fine. I tried to log off and on, but it doesn’t get the browsers to load again. I have to reboot to get them working.
An interesting thing is that I could still load google.ca home page, and only the home page, with minimal display (only the logo, search box, the 2 buttons, and “Google.ca offered in: francais” get loaded)
This problem happens to all the VM running on the machine (including XP Mode).
My internet cable goes through a wireless router. When this problem occurs to my desktop, I could still use my linux netbook to display webpages.
My OS is Win 7 x64 Ultimate, upgraded from Vista x64 Ultimate. I didn’t get this problem with Vista.

While googling for answers, some people suggest to change proxy setting. I tried “no proxy” and “automatically detect proxy setting” but none helps.

Could it be a DNS server problem? Try changing DNS servers to Google: Google DNS

Apparently, the problem comes from 1 of the add-on of firefox. I reinstalled firefox and haven't got the problem for a while now.

Great! Glad you got it figured out. Thanks for posting back. Some would just forget about their threads as soon as they are figured out.
