Windows 7: is there a last step? transferring OE mail to Livemail

sorry if this seems easy to everyone else but i've been trying to get it to work for 3 days now...I've installed Livemail on my old XP computer and exported all my mail in Livemail format to a folder which was then transported via an external hardrive to my new computer where it sits on the desktop. I then open Livemail and import from the folder. Goes through the steps and everything copies but then doesn't show up under the storage files or anywhere else. Is there some simple toggle or something that I've neglected to get it to appear? Or am I missing some step?
