Flash Lag under Win7 - No lag on XP

Been trying to solve an issue for a friend of mine, and i'm stumped. They're running a Asus M3N78-VM with the integrated sound and video with a Athlon 64X2 5200+ and 3GB Ram. Everything works fine under XP, but upon upgrading to Windows 7 Ult (Tried both 32 and 64bit), anything that requires flash lags or stutters. The two main areas they notice it is with Hulu, and with some flash games.

The odd thing is it happens with a fresh install of W7 with the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, but when they reinstalled XP, the lag went away. They've tried both IE8 and FF 3.5.5, no difference. Another PC in the same house doesn't have the issue, so it's not the internet connection.

I'm totally stumped as to what it could be at this point, any ideas?

    Thanks!

I don't know about games, but with Hulu, try right clicking it screen once you have selected a program, and disable Use Hardware Acceleration.

Already tried disabling Flash's HW Accel.

Did they "clean" install Windows 7, or was it over the top of another OS (Vista)?
You really haven't given enough information to diagnose the problem.
    32Bit or 64Bit?

It was clean install (Can't upgrade XP to W7), they never had Vista, and we tried both 32Bit and 64Bit of W7, clean install every time.

Can you uninstall flash, reboot, then reinstall flash?

    Tried it. =(
Even did a 100% fresh install of w7, nothing but latest flash from adobe.com, windows updates and latest drivers, same issue.

Could it somehow be the integrated GeForce 8200, or the integrated VIA Audio system? If so how can I test this, they don't have any spare parts. =(

Yep, everything looked good except for it said the video doesnt support aero (it does), and the printers might not work.

    Been having the same problem

I've done some research online, and the consensus is, Flash Player has no business being online. It has become slower and more annoying in the last couple years and shouldn't be used to do anything. Let me just give you a few examples of why this is, other then the lag problems everyone is having with it.

Cache dumping of video already played. If you try to rewind to see something you just missed, it dumps the whole cache and you have to wait for it to load again. It dumps the cache every time it runs a commercial too.

if you so much as push a button while it is in full screen mode it exits full screen.

    Choppy playback in full screen.

    Menu options are a joke.

The fact of the matter is that there are much better, much less buggy media players online and they are under used. Even Youtube's very basic media player from a year ago is better then Flash's newest Version of Flashplayer. we need to find alternatives to this program. Hulu should give us the option of using Windows Media player or DivX if we want to. Flash Sucks.
