Seems to be working thus far thanks alot man.
Knew it would work for you bio, everyone is getting messed up from that. Asus's poor driver arrangement hiding the patch over in the Vista section is kinda lame but I will say that once you get the patch the drivers work perfectly.
The real problem is that the Asus Xonar driver was made for the RC build 7100 and not the 7600 which has changes to the sound system. For some reason the same patch that works for Vista also works for build 7600 but the dumb thing is that it's on the Vista page where nobody thinks to look for a Win7 patch.
I discovered that before the patch came out you could also fix the problem by going to system configuration and disabling the HsMgr 32 file which was the actual cause of the problem. Not only did IE 32 bit lock up but it disabled most everything in the control panel also.
1800 views in this thread already, if this fix helps anyone else remember to rep.
This topic will get more hits not many places have a fix. So hopefully more people will be helped :)
I agree and considering that Win7 hasn't even been released yet we will get a storm of people in here with the same problem.
It's been tough for me to diagnose this problem because most people, you included, did not even realize that the Asus Xonar driver was the cause of the problem in the first place. So I end up having to decipher the problem based on them saying that IE 32 bit isn't working right.
Before the patch come out I figured out how to solve the problem by shutting off "HsMgr 32' on start up but the patch does it without having to delate any files.
Hello,
I am experiencing the same “Internet Explorer has stopped working” issue. Would someone be able to provide a direct link to the Asus Xonar driver? I googled it and am a bit uncertain as to which driver to use.
Also I do not have a Asus mother board, it’s a Gigabyte, would this driver still correct the “Internet Explorer has stopped working” problem?
I have just registered with this site because I am having this problem too where firefox and IE 32 bit and Skype do not work but thankfully the 64 bit does which i am using to type this plea for HELP! Also when I browse webpages that i have made myself stored locally(on my hard drive) they work. Its the webpages that come from the internet that dont. I dont even know if I have down loaded the Asus Xonar drivers. are these drivers included in the updates.
I dont have a clue whats happened and still not sure what to do even with all these great peoples advice. So, BoSox07, maybe we can get the answer.
when i get this sorted i will look more like this
A big thank you to the person who started this forum topic (Joe).

It really would be nice to know your system specs.
alsowhat do you mean NO LUCK and nothing. gesssssssssss it takes a lot of guesses to figure.I Tried doing a system restore and tried installing windows7 on top of itself, but no luck.
I tried to disable firewall etc, but nothing. I have been using norton360 version2.
When I lost my 32 bit IE to 64 bit and had no flash player -this is how I solved it,The only changes I noticed after checking everything and doing all the diognostic tests was I accepted an update from windows update.
so I uninstalled the last couple updates and after each checked to see if my IE 32 bit worked and it did-I'm using it now.
