Windows Mail is better than Live Mail to me, I use it as my default mail client and it works great.

I think that WM is better than WLM, only with the coloring. I dislike the pale colors used in WLM. They even have a method to change the color, but does not work very well.

Yeah, even the colors are pale and uninteresting. But the overall functions of Windows Mail is just better to me.

Live mail inferior to Outlook Express.

Windows live mail is so inferior to outlook express. You cannot forward nor paste photos in an email in Live Mail. There is no solution to this problem! All these years and MS are just spanking their monkey.

There should be 3 ways to send photos:
"Photo Email" (uses thumbnail images and Sky Drive)
Attach file (same as "Insert File as Attachment")
Insert Image Inline (with the cursor at the place you want it placed).

I have heard that images may not be included in forwarded messages in WLM 2011. But you can still put them in the forwarded message by saving them to your hard drive and using any of the above methods.

Whatever happened to just pressing "Forward"? Win7 is supposed to be an upgrade to XP and likewise WLM to Outlook express. I tried everything even to forward the e-mail as an attachment; It wont send the photos. I don't want to use a web based client and if I cannot forward a simple e-mail with photos then I will UPGRADE to XP!

I forward stuff to a friend of mine every so often, including the occasional picture. Right click on the email, Forward, enter the info, and it works just fine.
    I don't get the issue

Does it also work when you use the Forward button while reading the original Message in its own window?
Are you using WLM 2011 (with the ribbon) or WLM 2009?

It also Forwards properly for me but I'm still using WLM 2009. If you are using the 2011 version, you may have found a 4th (and no doubt the easiest) way to forward an email and include the pictures in WLM 2011.

    2011.

I don't know...it just works the way I do it.

Although, I do have other odd problems with using WLM sometimes.
Changes on the Charter end (my ISP) really seem to make a mess of the settings in it. I have to go back through, set all of them again, and it works...even though nothing actually is different, just re-entered.

I've bounced between WLM and TBird and can't really decide which one I want to use. they both have their crappy problems, but I hate using web mail, so i'm kind of stuck.
TBird feels too much like Firefox, bulky and slow for an email client.
WLM.....eh, I have used it since it came out, but it's not all that user friendly sometimes.

WLM 2011 Does not forward the pictures in messages. Also you cannot copy paste pictures into messages. You must have WLM 2009 because WLM 2011 does not forward pictures.
