I would follow these instructions.

Clean Install with a Upgrade Windows 7 Version

Your computer will work great, but you have to reinstall all of your programs, with the DVD.

So wait, I will have to install Office and all of that all over again? I don't understand. Will I lose everything?

It of course is your final decision. If you initiall did an upgrade, you will experience

problems. An Upgrade is just a nice new paint job, on a problem OS, all the old

problmes will come back to haunt you.

A clean install, you start fresh. Everything new and working properly. But, sadly, yes,

if you take our advice, evrything must be reinstalled. You can use windows easy

transfer, to transfer everything except programs, which do have to be reinstalled.

Its your computer and your decision, little more work now, to reduce problems in the

future.

We at the Forum, of course will be available to help with your installation, if you

desire. Good luck

thank you so much for the help!! it's working perfectly fine now!

I was going to take it into GeekSquad to do it, because I didn't want to mess something up. They wanted $129 to do it! I followed the tutorials on here and it worked out great. Thank you!
