after HD unable to send or receive emails

    Hello

Had to install WIn 7 and office 2007 on a new hard drive. Ive dragged across 3 pst folders (1 of which I cant remember what it is but is called personal folders)

I cant send or receive emails as there is no send receive button....and when I go into account settings there is nothing in the email accounts tab....

    any ideas?
    always grateful thank you

I assume you are using Outlook 2007. You will have to set up a new email account in Outlook, which would have all the settings you used in your old drive Outlook email account. Just dragging across the .pst folder will not work. Once you get Outlook working in the new installation you can transfer your address book & other info.

Thanks for that. Sort of what I suspected, but the issue I have is that I don’t remember the logins for any of the email accounts!

You should be able to phone your existing email provider & they should help you setting up all the necessary details. You will of course need to remember your actual email address & having the password saved somewhere in your records would make it easier as well.
