Windows 7: cant install chrome

cant install chrome

whenim installing google chrome it always say's google update installation failed
with error 0x8004071c. i already formatted my laptop. then put the uac in the least level. and yet. no google chrome for my laptop... help,. im using a 32bit os.

but its only for vista and xp... does the vista and windows 7 configuration the same?

i already found a solution.. in the registry editor.. i erased a value.. will it affect other programs?.... i create a restore point before doing it.

Your Computer is in Audit Mode that's why your getting that error mostly OEM version used to have that

Customize Windows in Audit Mode


Look this article to know more about Audit mode. I don't think it will create problems
