It's a local (actually regional) provider--Integra.net. I don't use AOL clones for my email or internet access.

Oh ok, never heard of them, but nevertheless, have you tried using WLM to see if the same thing happens? I would also recommend comparing setups between the two machines to see if the settings are the same.
P.S Do you still jump? Nothing like a hollywood huh, lol.
