Using WIndowsMail 32Bit in 64bit

Is it possible to do this.

There are instructions here to copy your WindowsMail folder into 7, and use it, but it hasn't worked for me. Could this be the reason - 32 vs 64bit?

Cheers!

If you are running x64 you have to move the files in both programs folders, if I remember correctly.

Which folders are these, are there two Program folders in Vista?

Ahh sorry I didn't understand the 32 64 bit thing. You will need Vista x64 to get all the files from. There is a folder in both Program Files and Program Files (x86) on the 64 bit for both Vista and Seven.

So if I'm going from Vista 32 to 7 64 is there any hope?

Any way to do this?

I'm not fond of Live mail either. The only way I know of is if you know someone you can get the files from. Also I was never able to get WM as the default mail handler when I tried this. That means mailto links didn't work. I'm now using Outlook which costs, but there are others such as Thunderbird that may suit you. Thunderbird - It?s All Yours
