Windows 7: Windows 7 64 Bit Email Notification Envelope

I have been exploring this entire site (Windows help site) and can’t resolve my issue. I recently purchased a new laptop - with Windows 7 Home edition 64 bit. The laptop is a HP model DV6-1355DX.

I am running Office 2007 and unable to see any new email icon notification envelopes in the lower right of my screen. I have my "Advanced E-Mail Options" checked for "Show an Envelope Icon in the Notification Area".



In my Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Notification Area Icons, all of my behaviors are listed as "Show Icon and Notifications"

Any help to assist me with correcting my notified so I can learn when I have unread email is greatly appreciated.

Did you set your email up in Outlook so your account is showing, can you receive mail and send mail, just a couple questions. With this said you might want to post in Browsers and Mail forum where you'll get more expert info.

Funny you should mention as today (24 hours later) I am unable to send email from my Outlook account (I can recieve). To answer your first question, yes, I did set my up my account to show icons. I will definately post this as you recommended.
