Delete entries Windows 7 email.

Sending a new email, entering name shows a list of addresses in the subject line.
Is there a way to remove these names ie ** REMOVED **.
After a time lapse of using the mail facility, the list increases in number and I would like to erase the list. Can this be done?
Thank you.

Hello TheBairn,

Welcome to Seven Forums.

I think that would probably be dependent on what email program your using.

If it is the list that I think it is, it is there for your convenience. You type the first few letters of the recepient, you then see a list of possibilites, you merely click on the name wanted.

With WLM, there is no way to get rid of it. Of course those really in the know may come up with a registry hack or such.

The email software that I refer too, is Windows Live Mail, it replaces Outlook Express when Windows7 is installed as the current OS.

Are you referring to the list of names that appear when you are typing in the sent to box? If so this is just for your convenience. Just click on the one that you want.

The reason I ask is that Live mail is not automatic and you could have downloaded one of the many others just as easily. If Live mail was on your comp when you got it, the manufacture put it there not windows.

OK, many thanks. I only hope that the list of names does not grow with my usage of emails.
