ChromeFrame for IE, best addon ever!

We all know IE have problems rendering certain pages and for those that are like me that are still sticking with it for various reasons (like we are used to it or we dont want to install another browser if OS comes with browser already) i have perfect solution.

We all know youtube started with beta HTML5 support. That lead me to this addon called ChromeFrame. This is basicaly addon that adds Chrome WebKit engine as "plugin" for IE with all benifits like HTML5, chrome javascript etc. So you dont need to run 2 browser or whatever you just install this plugin and thats it!

    Link is here

ok now how to use it. Pages can support GoogleFrame and IE will automaticaly switch to it for rendering. However if/when it doesnt you simply write cf: infront of URL and you force page to render with ChromeFrame. There is also registry script (can post it if interest) in case you want to render ALL pages with ChromeFrame. This is basicaly what some people where asking for IE9... IE with WebKit!

And here is ACID3 with IE (ok technicaly its not but... )!

IE8 (on Win7 at least) had for me at least 2 BIG issues. One was IE was crashing often on certain pages, luckly none of the "pages i visit most" was among them, so i just lived with it. This problem went away in last month or two of "unoffical" updates, that updated a lot of IE components. Other issue was, rendering on some pages and this just got solved with this plugin. So for now i dont have any more "issues" that would bug me.

Also dont think i try to defend IE8 or that im big fan of IE or something like that, but generaly IE suits my needs "just fine" and have no reason to change to something else "if browser comes with OS" :)

Here is examples of this rendering that IE8 doesnt do well (see position of screenshot box), i dont use that page often but still:

Also another note: if you want to use flash in ChromeFrame rendered pages you also need to install Flash Plugin, ActiveX control is not enough. But thats small price to pay for such a briliant addon!

What are these unofficial updates you speak of?
