    Hi again Clunkfish, (Where did that name come from - I feel I should know!)
    Right - have it:
    This is the one that I sent at 15:30 or thereabouts:
    Store File Name: Outlook.pst
    Date|Time|Action|Search Owner|NID|Change Action|Change Semantics|URL|Count Of DocIDs|Next NID Index to add to All Msg folder|Next NID Index to push to FTE|Folder Path|Folder Path ID|HRESULT|Result Status
    2010/01/26|17:30:35:293|Doc Not Found|6|1502|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL

    What do you make of that?

    Me again.
    This is what I got sending successfully from 1 account to another at 20:52:
    Store File Name: Outlook.pst
    Date|Time|Action|Search Owner|NID|Change Action|Change Semantics|URL|Count Of DocIDs|Next NID Index to add to All Msg folder|Next NID Index to push to FTE|Folder Path|Folder Path ID|HRESULT|Result Status
    2010/01/26|17:30:35:293|Doc Not Found|6|1502|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    2010/01/26|20:42:11:409|Doc Not Found|2|1875|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    2010/01/26|20:42:11:411|Doc Not Found|2|1875|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    2010/01/26|20:42:11:413|Doc Not Found|2|1874|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    2010/01/26|20:42:11:414|Doc Not Found|2|1874|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    2010/01/26|20:53:39:171|Doc Not Found|2|1876|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    2010/01/26|20:53:39:176|Doc Not Found|2|1876|||||||||0x8004010f|FAIL
    Does it help?

    Just to confirm 17:24; 17:31; 21:00 - all fail to 2 addresses whilst 20:54 went through between 2 of my accounts

    Well I'm stumped, as a google search of the error code just refer to Exchange Server, which I don't think you've mentioned, so I haven't got a clue, sorry.

    Clunkfish = C1 (the scooter in my avatar) + monkfish. Kind of. Makes sense, huh? Guess not :)

    That isn't your log file - it's a text file called Outlook.pst. You should see OPMLog plus a number of other files beginning IMAP or POP, depending on what sort of mail server your account is with....

    I wonder if it would help if I deleted (temporarily) 2 accounts from Outlook and see what happens from just one account?

    Too late! Mwa-ha-ha-ha....

    Only kidding. OK so your smtp server is smtp.sapo.pt - is that correct? It's in Portugal...and you're not ?

    If it's the right server, it needs to be set up carefully as it requires authentication. The following site gives the details: Ajuda SAPO - Configuração do Mail POP3 (Outlook/Eudora)
    Basically you need to go into Tools > Account Settings, then highlight the email account you want to work with and click "Change...", then "More Settings...", then the Outgoing Server tab, then check the box to say your outgoing server requires authentication. Set it to use the same settings as your incoming mail server. Could you check how all that is set up then report back please?

    It's -2C here - bet it's warmer in the Algarve

    Wimborne - birthplace of Robert Fripp. I like his stuff!

    I think maybe we're going to have to go back to square one - uninstall Outlook, then reinstall but only set up one email account, and make sure it sends/receives OK. Then add a second, check both, and so on. Sorry not to be able to find a genuine solution
