But now, ever since my dad shut off our internet, I haven't been able to access this site.
Uh.... this might be the reason you can't access the site....

This could be a problem with Java and/or Adobe flash

If it is the only site that is being blocked, I would check in the router to make sure it isn't being blocked.

I'm not sure what all is going on with your dad, but you may want to talk to him about it, and make sure he is okay with it. I just don't want to go against your dad's wishes.
I don't know how to check to see if my router is blocking that one website. Also, my dad is perfectly fine with it. He messed around with the cables so he could have satelite tv in his room and accidentally unplugged the internet. But since the internet's been restored, none of the computers in this house can access that single website.

If you could maybe tell me how to check out the router, it would be a great help.

Haha no. Obviously the internets back on. My mom plugged the cable back in. Mind you, I wouldn't be able to go on this forum if the internet was completely out.

You may want to check something real easy, at first. Go to tools>internet options>security. Make sure that the site is not on the blocked list.
I checked it. It wasn't under the restricted sites. I even added the website to the trusted sites.

Or the site may be temporarily down. Or has your dad installed parental filters on the laptop?
The site isn't down because I had to other friends of mine access it right after I couldn't. The site worked for them. And I already took out the parental filters. My parents didn't really care.

I had no problems going to the University website. It must be a permissions / security problem in your settings. Which version of Win7 do you have on the new laptop?
I have the Home Prenium one... at least that's what it shows everytime I log in.

I can access the site with no problems. Since you cannot access it from any of your computers, that rules out a computer issue. It is more likely to be a router issue. Check the connections to the router. What is the make and model number of the router?
